Procession

In 2022 I was passing through the Museo Correr in great hurry when my eye fell on this relief fixed on a wall in one of the rooms. I quickly took a photo but had no time to search for a description of the work and I haven’t been able to find information about it later on the internet. So I know nothing about it.
The faces of the women in the back suggest it may be (a plaster copy of) an ancient Greek artwork.
Each time when I look at the picture I am moved by the distinguished postures of the people in procession and the deep sorrow that radiates from them. That’s what must have struck me in a flash.
