On the Oud Amelisweerd estate near Utrecht, there is a room where not only the walls but even the doors are covered with continuous Chinese wallpaper. And not just any wallpaper, but hand-painted, 18th-century wallpaper full of extraordinary Chinese scenes. Truly marvellous.
