
Shades of green in a gentle drizzle

I could tell here almost the same thing as with the photo of last week’s post, be it that we have left Arashiyama and are now in the Kinkaku-ji park in another neighbourhood of Kyoto. Furthermore, as you can see, a gentle drizzle is now filling the air, and that does make a difference. The painter feels probably less inclined to put up his easel, however much the shining wet roof, enclosed by the rich greenery, may inspire him.
The drizzle softens all contrasts, which makes that the many different hues of green are drawn closer to each other, creating a subtle image of intense beauty.
