What shall I wear today?

“This, or perhaps that? No, let’s wear this white blouse today, with that yellow jumper over the top.”
This is what the girl might have been thinking that morning, standing in front of her open wardrobe, before she got dressed and left the house. And there she stands, her beautiful, luxuriant black hair framing her white-and-yellow dress, which complements the colours of the Golden Pavilion in Kinkaku-ji Park.
It may, of course, be pure coincidence, but I wouldn’t be surprised if – consciously or unconsciously – she was guided in her choice of clothing by the image she had in her mind of the colour scheme of this famous temple.
That would fit in well with the almost proverbial aesthetic sensibility of the Japanese spirit.
