Such a common sight, but always inviting to pause for a while and enjoy. Here it’s a few women of the Gond tribe with their feet in the mud around the village pump, cleaning vessels and jars. The shiny silver of the traditional armlet, anklets and elaborate belt reflects its beauty not only on the wearer but on the whole scene.

“And when we’ve finished at the pump, we fill up our water jars and happily carry them home.” You’re beautiful, my ladies. And strong.

Strength and beauty, that’s also what’s radiating from this Gond woman’s face.
It’s the beautiful power of tribal nature.
