I happily see myself sitting on this terrace, with a good book, a glass of wine and a bowl of pistachios from the trees below. From time to time looking out over the Gulf of Aegina, daydreaming, seemingly unmoved by the misery in which a large part of the population of this ancient country is plunged by the ongoing economic crisis.
And in the morning I wake up, look out of the window at another bright day … and I can’t wait for the good life to start all over again.

So, there’s a pistachio tree down there? How thrilling. I eat them (pistachios, not trees), but have rarely wondered what their birthplace looks like. Is the tree in the bottom picture?
I have visited your blog off and on through Facebook these past months and have been enamoured by many of the photos, but this one is simply gorgeous and too memorable to not stop by and let you know that it strummed my heart’s strings. Thank you, Louk.
Warmest regards,
Priya

Thank you for your nice reaction Priya. One does see a whole field of pistachio trees on the top photo.
