Like mother, like daughter

Human life may have changed in many ways since prehistoric times, but on a certain level – namely that of the basic needs the body requires to survive – we are still the same, and in that respect not much different from other animals. We need food to eat and water to drink.

For millions of people across the world, life is precisely that: ensuring these basic needs are met, day in, day out. If one can find contentment in this simplicity, in harmony with nature, then the hills of Kumaon have everything it takes to make life a great joy, day in, day out.
And if living like that would ask too much of you, I advise you to observe closely those who still do. It will fill your heart with beauty and happiness.
