Last week we looked at hanji paper works made by Chun Kwang Young. Here we look at some more of them, but this time within the spatial context of the venue in which they are exposed. At the Venice Biennale that venue is the Palazzo Contarini Polignac. Chun’s works are still the focus of attention but the glimpse we get of the old palazzo in which they are placed gives our view the possibility to wander away, go back to them, again wander off and so forth. This affects and often enriches our perception and reflection. Showing a work of art in relation to its environment, that’s what I often like doing in my pictures.
