Looking at you!

I felt as if somebody was looking at me. I turned round and noticed this little owl with big eyes. We looked at each other for a while and I took a picture.
Now, looking at the picture, I realize that most if not all other birds have one eye on the left and one on the right side of their head. But owls have both in front, like us. Maybe that’s why I had the feeling that somebody was looking at me when I passed by.
According to my book of Indian birds this must be a Spotted Owlet. It has a large round head and staring yellow eyes. It likes living in ruins. So we’ve a model specimen here.
