In 1995 Bombay became Mumbai. One year later VT, Victoria Terminus, became CST, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and in 2017 the M of Maharaj was added, CSMT, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. All to erase the names dating from colonial times from our memory lane.
This old photograph has tried to fall in line and erase the colonial architectural landmark once and for all. In vain, for people my age. VT is still indelibly printed in our memory. And the building is still standing in all its splendour. In Bombay.
