Snow Country

Why does this make me think of “Snow Country”, of Kawabata? Not just because the image depicts a snow-covered landscape. It is the sensitivity and perfection with which Kawabata describes feminine beauty in his novels.
Here, it is nature that gives me the feeling of looking at a reclining nude, rendered with the same sensitivity and perfection.
