καιρός remembered

Before the big bang

A stone falls from the sky and it looks as though it is about to collide with another stone with a thud. But on closer inspection, it turns out we are mistaken. Both stones lie peacefully side by side in a puddle of water, where they protrude partly above the surface. The sky and the tree’s branches have misled us. All we can see is their reflection in the water. Our perception of reality is not always clear-cut.
